Ria has worked for several medical spa practices across the US, helping them with initiatives from improving customer experience to building out new sites. Ria previously worked in private equity at GI Partners and in growth strategy consulting. Ria received an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and BA, cum laude, in Math and Economics from Dartmouth College.
Ria grew up in a family rooted in medicine- her father is a physician who started a multi-site primary care practice in the Southeast alongside her mother, who manages clinic operations. Ria saw how managing back-office functions can overwhelm providers and founded Athena to relieve providers of these burdens while helping them scale.

Izzy Dowling Weiss
Izzy worked in consumer investing at Advent International, where she spent time on several sectors including women’s health and restaurants. She also worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs. Izzy received an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and an AB, cum laude, from Harvard University. At Harvard, she was the captain of the Varsity Women’s Squash Team and won several national championships.
A Connecticut native, Izzy grew up around entrepreneurship, investing, and healthcare - her grandfather built the first ophthalmology practice in the state of Rhode Island. She currently lives in New York with her husband.
Dr. Min Ahn - Medical Advisor
Dr. Ahn is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in aesthetic facial rejuvenation. Dr. Ahn is a double board-certified surgeon in both Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Head and Neck Surgery.
Since opening his private practice in Boston over 20 years ago, Dr. Ahn has authored many publications and been invited to speak at plastic surgery meetings around the world.
Dr. Ahn trained in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the highly acclaimed University of California at San Francisco. Dr. Ahn earned his medical degree from George Washington University, graduating with distinction and his AB from Harvard University, graduating cum laude.
